Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek

This trek and the trek route could easily pass one of the best in Sikkim. The trail of this trek passes through the dense forests of rhododendrons, magnolias, and pines and then into big green meadows. 

You can find Talung, Kabru, and Rathong peaks at the South of Kanchenjunga trek and Kirat Chuli peak at the North.

 Goecha La Trek

Goecha La Trek is one of the most beautiful treks in Sikkim. It has the most beautiful surroundings and green meadows. It has regions which are unexplored and you’ll love it.  There are forests of pine and oak and huge mountains are always peeping at you. You’ll come across beautiful valleys as well. You’ll get views of the Majestic Kanchenjunga. Cold frosty trails add the cherry to the cake. Camping and stargazing are popular activities that can be done here.

Tholung Trek

If you want to trek in the north of Sikkim, Tholung is the best option. Starting from Bagdogra and ending at Lingsha, this trek has everything to offer. Tall alpine trees surround the location like a blanket and you get to see the Ring Pi Chi River.

Sikkim Dzongri Trek

Snow-capped mountains, valleys, hamlets, and everything is a dream for nature lovers. It has the most picturesque journey and gives a beautiful peaceful ambiance throughout. You can view Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabur, and Mt. Kumbhakarna. Deep rhododendrons forests surround you throughout the trek. This region is home to some of the most beautiful and rare birds.

Versay Trek

The Versay trek is also known as the soft trek and is situated near the border of India and Nepal. This route is often deemed as a home to rhododendron. While trekking in Sikkim through the Versay trek one can relinquish in the pleasure of bird watching and finding the several facets of the wilderness.

 

Camping facility is also available on this trekking route. On the trekking route, there is the presence of a number of hermitages which add elegance and spirituality to the trekking experience. The wonderful orchids are definitely the stunning feature of this trek.

Trek time: 9 nights and 10 days

Best time to visit: Month of December till the middle of March

 

Tosar Trek

The Tosar lake trek is found in between  the Chola range and Mangan range. A huge peak of mountain is located towards the south-east direction of the lake. You will come across a lot of cows and yaks throughout the trek.

 

The trek makes way through the forest cover which includes Conifer trees, bamboos, rhododendron trees and alpine. If one wants to see the pristine floral cover of the northern Sikkim, then the Tosar Lake is the best route for trekking in Sikkim.

The Singalila Trek

The Singalila trek is one of the rarest spots of the country from where one can see the four summits which have Everest, Makalu, Kangchenjunga and Lhotse.

 

One can also view the peaks which are situated in the area of Tibet and Bhutan. Rhododendron and oak forests are common on this trek. The routes of this trek are not that steep and one can also pay a visit to the Singalila National Park.

Tholung Trek

The Tholung trek is situated in the North of Sikkim. The Tholung trek begins from the Bagdora region and extends till Lingsha. It ascends through the gorgeous valley of flora and fauna. Many alpine trees and yak can be commonly seen in this area. While one makes way this trek, the Ring Pi Chi River acts as an ally. The grand hamlets and hills make the visitors feel fascinated.
